drugs are good.

'specially when you have a 7 inch incision across your, er, lower...stomach...bikini line.  good thing i'm fat.  never will i ever wear a bikini or show anyone this scar.  unless you ask.  nicely.

healing is boring, but considering it feels like someone took a blow torch to my insides, it's probably for the best. so, for the next 2 weeks, i'm just gonna lay here...and rot...and eat treats because my friends are awesome.

one last thing: getting your reproductive parts burned out hurts.

like, huuuurts.

love my rhousecouture ladies.

I love your bracelet...mostly because it is so true.

I'm copywriting that word. It's too awesome. But I wish I was there to make your stomach hurt by making you watch funny movies with me. And eat our collective weight in ice cream.

I have to say that I read this post with my eyes half closed in anticipation of a picture of your insides...I can't look, and I can't look away all at the same time.

I'm glad you are home, and I hope your boys are showering you with all sorts of lovely things.

Sorry you're in pain. Glad you're alive and everything went good.

Thinking of you!

p.s. I'll bring you a coke if I can see your scar ;)

Congrats, you're on the other side and climbing back to feeling good. It's a climb but worth the battle. The sheer fact that you posted made me think of a quote I read somewhere - Pain is inevitable, Misery is optional. The bracelet says it all!

You could always show people your scar as a conversation starter - tell them you got bit by a shark but you fought it off and you won! (My attempt at humor is lacking but hey - if it didn't make you laugh then at least it didn't make your incision hurt!) I hope you get a lot of rest, watch MANY movies, and eat whateva you want. Glad you have so many people looking after you!

Glad you're home! Wishing you a quick recovery! (sounds like a Hallmark card, ha ha). Hang in there! (Imagine kitty poster). Get well soon! i could go on and on. Stay cool and have a great summer.

Like AubreyMo said, yes, now is no the time for funny jokes, comedies, or Brian Regan. TRUST ME. You will pay for it the minute your meds start to wear off.
So glad you are finally home recovering. Never fun to have a major surgery, but that which does not kill you, makes you stronger.
Love you bunches!
